Former Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State and a leading governorship aspirant in the state, Senator Emma Nwaka, has cautioned the party leadership not to joke with zoning of political offices.
Senator Nwaka who gave the warning Tuesday, during the dedication and unveiling of his Campaign Headquarters in Umuahia, said that “PDP’s constitution recognises zoning”.
He, however, said that he was not perturbed by the recent simultaneous zoning of the party’s governorship ticket to Abia North and Abia Central senatorial zones, a development he observed, was confusing.
The former PDP Chairman said the party’s national leadership “believes in zoning and is listening” to the conversations over zoning in Abia.

Nwaka who represented Abia North in the third Republic, said that if given the opportunity, he would move the state to greater heights and ensure the peace and security of all.
” Abia will be truly number one under my watch”, he declared, adding that “I’m water, I have no enemy; I may be calm but I have never failed in any assignment”.
Nwaka also promised to carry the youths along in his administration if voted into power.
” Youths are the cornerstone of my administation and I will give them a sense of belonging”.
