Abia North senatorial race : We won’t accept Bende lga result – Ohuabunwa

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has vowed not to accept the return of the senatorial election from Bende Local Government Area, alleging foul play.

Ohuabunwa who spoke with Wawa News Global, Sunday afternoon, alleged that the council result was not a true reflection of ward results and what transpired at the polling units.

According to him, collated results from the wards were jettisoned and replaced with written results by the All Progressive Congress, APC.

He said a certain retired Deputy Inspector General of Police and other APC chieftains hijacked the process and manipulated the figures in favour of APC candidates.

” The DIG collected the result sheets and they chased away PDP agents at the LGA collation centre.

“They discarded the collated results at the wards and wrote their own results at the LGA collation centre after chasing away our agents “.

Ohuabunwa who said they were still awaiting the arrival of results from other LGAs at the senatorial headquarters of the zone in Ohafia  insisted that any fake results would not be tolerated.
