Abia H’Assembly passes N140 b appropriation bill

The Abia State House of Assembly, Thursday, passed the 2019 appropriation bill into law.
A total of N140,207,311,290.00 was passed into law as the state’s budget for the 2019 fiscal year.
Gov Okezie Ikpeazu, had on December 28, 2018, presented a total budget outlay of N139,542,000.00 to the House but the lawmakers after their scrutinies jacked it to N140,207,311,290.
The budget christianed “Budget of Consolidation ” which was presented late December 2018 by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu was passed by the lawmakers during a plenary on the floor of the House Thursday.
Speaker, Rt. Hon Chikwendu Kalu, after the passage of the Appropriation Bill, adjourned seating to March 18.
