Abia Central senatorial race : Senator Orji refutes withdrawal rumour

Senator Theodore Orji representing Abia Central senatorial zone, has debunked the rumour of his purported withdrawal from the race.
Orji who spoke through his Media and Legislative Aide, Chief Eddy Onuzurike, dismissed the rumour as the handiwork of his detractors and political opponents scared of his rising popularity.
He said those behind the purported withdrawal rumour are only scared of the crushing defeat awaiting them at the polls today.
According to the rumour, Orji purportedly withdrew from the race as a result of pressure from his kinsmen, and to allegly pave the way for his son to emerge the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.
But Orji described the rumour as blatant falsehood .
The former Governor urged his teeming supporters to ignore the rumour and remain firm in their support for him.
He dismissed the report as mischievous and a “poor script by desperate opponents who are scared of humiliating defeat. “
