Trump crushes Harris, wins US presidential poll

Former US President, Donald Trump, has emerged winner of the 2024 US presidential election held Tuesday, November 5.

He polled 72, 572,423 votes representing 50.8% of the total number of votes so far counted.

Trump’s main rival, VIce President Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party, garnered only 67,857,312 votes representing 47.5% of votes so far counted.

Although counting of votes are continuing in some counties, and formal declaration of the results of few states being awaited, Trump has already crossed the 270 electoral collage votes needed to emerge President as he collected 294 electoral votes from the states won by his Republican Party.

On the contrary, Harris only has 223 electoral collage votes despite winning the State of California that has 50 collage votes.

Meanwhile, Harris has already conceded defeat, and called Trump to congratulate him.

She also urged her supporters to accept the results of the presidential poll.

Despite blackmails against Trump, he was overwhelmingly given the mandate by American people to return to the White House after his ouster in 2020 by the incumbent President Joe Biden, who was forced against seeking a re-election by his fellow Democrats who did not consider him fit to run.

Biden after initial insistence on running later surrendered to ticket to his Vice, Harris who could not triumph over Trump.

President Trump message of:”zi will make America great again”, resonated among voters who felt Biden had not done well in certain key sectors unlike Trump.

Americans also believe Trump could help secure their borders and restore US’s foreign rating and respect.

Trump and his wife, Melania Trump and his son Barron Trump arrived at the West Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he spoke to a crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

Donald Trump will be America’s 47th President.
