Nsukka new council boss promises to prioritize agriculture, digital tech as tools for dev

The newly -elected Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Chinedu Asogwa, an Engineer, has promised to prioritize agriculture and digital technology to fast-track development and create job opportunities in the council.

Asogwa who made the promise in a chat with newsmen, also promised to cooperate with investors and development partners to drive development in Nsukka.
He said his administration would provide the needed convivial atmosphere for businesses to thrive, adding that Nsukka is replete with a lot of opportunities.
The Council boss promised to empower youths through digital technology, hinting on plans to raise about 200 ‘BLords in Nsukka using Digital Japa Entrepreneurship’ that Governor Peter Mbah preaches as development tool to raise 10 billionaires from each ward.
Asogwa  explained that digital technologies have helped to raise young billionaires round the world, declaring his plans to replicate such in Nsukka LGA.
Recall that Blord is a popular Anambra young Cryptopreneur and billionaire who has created jobs for so many young people in Anambra State and beyond.
The Mayor said he would be partnering the ‘PETERISM MOVEMENT’ to make this digital Japa Entrepreneurship programme work wonders in Nsukka LGA.
He said his administration would be intentional in investing in human capital development, adding that he wants to build men and women to lift them out of poverty.
He reassured stakeholders of his commitment to respect and partner them to move Nsukka forward.
The Council boss said he would de-emphasise politics and do more development jobs, as  Governor Mbah is already doing.
He also promised to support the Mbah -led administration actualise its mandate, promising to complement the administration efforts to better the lots of Nsukka people.
