PROACTIVE & REACTIVE LEADERSHIP: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOVERNOR OTTI AND EX-GOVERNOR IKPEAZU
The former Chief Press Secretary and Current Spokesperson to Ex-Governor Ikpeazu, Sir Bar. Onyebuchi Emamanka Alias Ururu-Aja Kwadara Igwe admitted while writing from the comfort of his Umule Home as he was demolishing a heap of Akpu with Mmiri Ofe Akpuru-akpu Mgbam that his Boss was Baba Go Slow and Sleeping on Duty as the Executive Governor of Abia State from 2015 – 2023 and reactively watched as perennial flood damaged goods worth Billions of Naira at Ariaria International Market for over 5 years before taking a decision to demolish and remodel the A Line section of the Market just like he waited until a Container Truck lost control and crushed to death many traders and commuters at waterside cattle market and abattoir, Ogbor-hill, Aba.
Ururu-Aja as he is fondly called in his satirical support to the Proactive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, was comparing My Proactive Boss who intervened before the danger in the waiting at Aba Shopping Shanty collapse and kill or inflict deadly injury on traders at the Ekeoha Market to his Reactive Boss who waited until Billions of Naira worth of goods was destroyed by flood at Ariaria International Market and blood/lives of Abians wasted at the Waterside Cattle and Abattoir Market before he intervened to evacuate the traders with ‘immediate effect’.
The Difference Between a ProActive & ReActive Leader is 7up. Governor Otti could not risk the lives of the traders on the altar of indecision like Ex-Governor who allowed his cronies to be extorting money from the traders with threats of demolition until the bloods/lives of the traders and commuters was sacrificed before the were relocated with immediate effect.
A firm and proactive leader must weigh and apply the doctrine of, ‘That, Which Must Happen Ultimately, Let It Happen Immediately’ when necessary.
I am in alignment with Ururu-Aja that The Difference Between Governor Otti and Ex-Governor Ikpeazu is 7up.
