By Steve Oko
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has finally released the Certified True Copy, CTC, of its judgment on the case involving the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
This is coming barely five weeks the apex court decided on the matter which it refused to affirm earlier court judgments ordering Kanu’s unconditional release.
It rather ordered that the IPOB Leader be arraigned at the High Court to face charge on treason.
Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu who disclosed the in and exclusive chat with Wawa News Global on Monday night, hailed the Supreme Court for the release.
He said the Supreme Court had done well by heeding appeals by the family and Kanu’s legal team to release the CTC to enable them take the next move to get justice for the IPOB Leader.
The family had earlier cried foul over the reluctance of the supreme court to release the CTC of the judgment, lamenting that it was stalling further legal actions towards securing Kanu’s release.
