A member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Presidential Advisory Council, Prof Gregory Ibe, has felicitated with Christians all over the world as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.

Part of the message signed by his Media Aide Rev. Sleek Ogwo, reads :”It is against the backdrop of the multiple challenges confronting our nation as a result of the financial reforms introduced by the federal government, that I want to use the celebration of Christmas to urge Christians to return to God in order to attract divine intervention to our national problems”.
Continuing he said, “Having failed to solve our national problems through political and financial strategies, I recommend the application of spiritual solutions through immediate convocation of a solemn assembly by our church leaders to enable us cry unto God as a people”.
According to Prof Ibe,” Being the light of the world, I encourage christians not to lose faith but to keep hope alive by looking unto Jesus Christ whose birth during this season of Christmas symbolizes salvation from all earthly challenges”.
In conclusion, he enjoined Christians not to be carried away by the secular activities that are usually built around Christmas but to “deploy the season for productive engagements geared towards personal and corporate spiritual revival”.
Christians across the world traditionally celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December every year.
To mark the 2023 edition of the celebration, the Nigerian government has declared both 25th and 26th of December as national holidays.
