By Steve Oko

The Abia state candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2023 governorship election, Prof Gregory Ibe has congratulated APGA candidate for Aba North/Aba South federal constituency, Chief Alex Ikwechegh (Onyeocha Na Aba), on his recent victory at the Court of Appeal.

The court of Appeal sitting in Lagos had on Thursday, sacked Rep. Emeka Nnamani of Labour Party over certificate forgery, and subsequently declared Ikwechegh of APGA winner of the February 25 House of Representatives poll in the constituency.

Professor Ibe in a congratulatory message signed by his Media Aide, Rev Sleek Ogwo, commended the “sheer determination, tenacity of purpose and doggedness which characterized the political engagements of Chief Ikwechegh from the party primaries stage through the polling phase and down to the litigation processes.”

While commending Rep. Ikwechegh for his steadfastness in fighting to enforce his electoral mandate, Prof Ibe enjoined the in-coming law maker to work to sustain and surpass the legislative legacies of late Hon Ossy Prestige, whose representation of the good people of Aba North and South in the National Assembly, remains legendary.
