Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has appointed 24 new Permanent Secretaries.
This was contained in a statement issued Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu.
The appointment is coming barely four months after the Governor suspended former Perm Secs in the state and replaced them with Acting Perm Secs.
According to the statement the newly appointed Perm Secs are to proceed to the office of the SSG for further directives.
Gov. Otti had also recently, insisted on full implementation of the policy which recommends compulsory retirement for any civil servant who has served as Perm Sec for four years, or eight years as Director.
Otti said he was poised on sanitising the civil service.
One of the new Perm Secs, Chris Onuegbu, popularly known as WWD, was a former Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor.
