Gregory varsity releases new academic calendar, to graduate first set of medical doctors

The Management of Gregory University Uturu, Abia State, has released a comprehensive calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session.
According to a press statement by the Registrar of the institution, Dr Chukwuemeka Mpamah, students are expected to return to the campus on Saturday 28 October 2023.
Interesting highlights of the calendar include: orientation programme for fresh students, public lecture on the topic: “Harnessing Opportunities in Block Chain Technology and Digital Economy”, by Archbishop Prof Sam Zuga; and the induction programme for the institution’s pioneer medical doctors.
Other features captured in the calendar include the 8th Inaugural Lecture of the university on the theme : “Communicating Life and Death in our Atomistic Conflict Prone Society; Media Role in Resolving the Albatross”, a thought provoking treatise to be delivered by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof Uche Uwaoma, the 12th Matriculation event and activities marking the 8th Convocation ceremony.
According to the statement, the calendar has been designed to guarantee the attainment of the institution’s goal of “advancing the cause of developing the total man while delivering technologically powered knowledge, skills and competencies to students”.
The statement urged students and members of the university community to strictly comply with the academic calendar.
Gregory University is one of the reigning private universities in the South East with comparative advantage in a number of professional courses such as Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Law, Pharmacy, Radiology, Computer Science & Engineering, and other Sciences.
