Anxiety in Abia as tribunal delivers judgment on petition by Onyejeocha against Ogah

Anxiety heightens as the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, Abia State, is set to deliver judgment on the petition filed by the House of Representatives candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Isuikwuato Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, against the election of Hon. Amobi Ogah of the Labour Party.
Onyejeocha who is the Minister of State for Labour had before her appointment, headed for the tribunal following her dissatisfaction with the outcome of the February 25 national assembly poll.
The three-man panel had after all parties in the suit adopted their final written addresses, fixed today for judgment.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Tribunal sitting at Aguiyironsi Conference Centre Umuahia, started reading the judgment since 1 pm.
Wawa News Global reports that Counsels to both parties, journalists, security agencies as well as supporters and party faithful are still waiting patiently for the final verdict.
