Abia APGA guber candidate, Greg Ibe awards varsity scholarship to 100 students

The Abia State governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Greg Ibe, will on Tuesday, January 31, present 100 students with university scholarship award.
A release by his Media Aide, Rev. Sleek Ogwo puts the venue of the event as Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium of the Gregory University Uturu by 11:am
According to the release over 400 undergraduates are currently benefiting from the Gregory Ibe Scholarship Scheme which he instituted many years ago to assist mostly indigent students go get quality education .
The release read in part:”Consumed by the passion to educate more persons, Prof Ibe established Gregory University Uturu in 2012, a development that resulted in the formalization and addition of more impetus to the Gregory Ibe Scholarship Scheme(GISS).
“Deploying the GISS platform, the renowned erudite Professor of Entrepreneurial Science began to seek to fill noticed skill gaps in the Nigerian labour market by annually offering scholarship to mostly indigent people, to study such highly discriminated courses as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, Insurance, Agricultural Science, Business Agriculture, Education, among many others.
“Thus over a period of ten years, Prof Ibe has been able to leverage the GISS programme in adding value to the Nigerian labour market by equipping and empowering more than 600 young people, mostly from Abia state with globally competitive skills and competencies.
“Considering the comprehensive nature of the Prof Ibe scholarship programme, each awardee undertaking any four-year degree course in the prestigeous Gregory University Uturu, where on-campus fully furnished hostel accommodation is provided for all beneficiaries, is believed to receive quality uninterrupted training, coaching and mentoring worth between N8 million and N12 million.”
