* Begs him to champion Abia emancipation project

Abia State governorship flag bearer of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Prof. Gregory Ibe, has felicitated renowned Evangelist and Abia-born International gospel preacher, the Rev. Dr Uma Ukpai, on his 77th birthday.

This is as the governorship hopeful has pleaded with the cleric to champion the Abia liberation project so that the state could be totally freed from the shackles of undemocratic forces.

The Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies described Rev. Ukpai as “God’s unique gift to the world in general and extra ordinary blessing to the Nigerian nation in particular.”

Professor Ibe who spoke to newsmen at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, on the heels of the 77 birthday celebration of the revered cleric, Prof. Ibe affirmed that “Abia is particularly divinely favored to be the home state of the renowned cleric.”

While felicitating Rev Ukpai on the milestone attainment of 77 years, Prof. Ibe prayed God to strengthen him and effectively deploy his Ministry and immense spiritual gifts in championing the deliverance of Abia state from shackles of underdevelopment.

His words:”I want to wish our Daddy Rev. Dr Uma Ukpai happy birthday as he celebrates his 77 birthday.

” Indeed he remains a unique gift to the world and an extra-ordinary blessing to the Nigerian nation; and we are particularly proud that he hails from Abia state.

“It is our prayer that God strenghtens him with renewed vigour and vitality while effectively deploying his Ministry and immense spiritual gifts in championing the total deliverance of Abia from the forces of underdevelopment that have continued to hinder progress in our state”.

Wawa News Global reports that Dr Ukpai, the founder of Uma Ukpai Polytechnic, was born in Asaga-Ohafia, Abia State on January 7, 1945.
