The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State, says it will formally flag off its campaigns for the 2023 general elections on December 22.
Highlight of the event will be formal presentation of flags to candidates of the party for the 2023 elections including APGA governorship flag bearer, Professor Gregory Ibe, National and State House of Assembly candidates.
The ceremony according to a press release by the Director General of APGA Governorship Campaign Council in the state, Dr Longman Nwachukwu, is scheduled for the Event Centre at Isi Gate Umuahia by 11:00am.
The release made available to Wawa News Global by the Head, Media and Publicity of the Campaign, Mr Ogbonnaya Ogwo, enjoined members and supporters of the party to attend the event en masse.
The release restated the commitment of APGA to the birth of a new Abia, and urged the people to sustain their unflinching support for the party and its candidates in the forthcoming polls.
It said that time had come for all progressive Abians to unite behind APGA to free the state from the hands of undemocratic forces holding her down.
The release promised that under the watch of Professor Ibe the current unpalatable narrative of Abia will definitely change for the better.
” The emergence of Professor Greg Ibe as Abia Governor will mark the end of bad governance and the beginning of new dawn in Abia”, the release said.
