Campaign Coordinators of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have boasted that PDP candidates would sweep Abia by landslide victory at the 2023 polls.
Atiku’s men who made the boast during their meeting in Umuahia on Thursday, said Abia had remained a strong base of the PDP since 1999, insisting that the party will continue to call the shots for a long time to come.
They said that the opposition parties in the state had no roots and could not withstand the crushing force of the ruling party.
Wawa News Global reports that the Atiku’s men who came from across the state converged at the Azikiwe office of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Council donated by Chief Charles Ogbonnaya.
They renewed their commitment to work for Atiku and all the PDP candidates in the state.
Addressing the Coordinators, Abia State Leader of the Atiku Campaign Council, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya, said the former Vice President, “is prepared and very experienced” to re-fix Nigeria.
He said that “Atiku remains the best candidate” among other contending for the number one position in the land.
The former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs commended the Coordinators for their impressive efforts to project Atiku, and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Chief Ogbonnaya who was a former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, expressed confidence that Abia would be a walk over for the PDP in 2023.
In a remark,  former  Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu kanu restated his unwavering  commitment and support  for Atiku.
He said that the former Vice-President should begin to count Abia as one of the states that would give him margin of lead in the forthcoming  election.

The former SSG advised Ndigbo not to be sentimental about the forthcoming polls but vote wisely.
He said that Ndigbo should be very calculative and take into cognisance the political arithmetics that are involved in winning presidential poll.
Speaking earlier, Media Head of the council, Hon. Kingsley Megwara, said that Atiku’s presidency would greatly favour the South East, arguing that Atiku has been doing business with a lot of Igbo over time.
He also said that “for now the number has been adding up for Atiku more than any other presidential candidate”.
Megwara further described Atiku as”a unifier”, saying he has the quality to easily unite the country considering his business interests across the country.
The Campaign Coordinators who converged from all 17 councils in the state, expressed their commitment to upholding the “5 over 5 project” of the PDP.
