Prof Ibe’s wife felicitates Nigeria-born US female General, Amanda

Mrs Joy Ibe, wife of the Abia State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance( APGA) has felicitated Brig. General Amanda Azubuike on her promotion to the rank of general in the United States of America (USA)Army.

The wife of the APGA governorship hopeful, in a congratulatory message made available to Wawa News Global, in Umuahia Mrs Ibe commended Amanda for “blazing the trail for Nigerian females in far away USA.
Her words:”I want to congratulate Amanda Azubuike for making all Nigerian females proud by achieving the rare feat of emerging a general in a male dominated profession”.
Contending that Amanda had to overcome stiff challenges presented by both gender and country of origin to rise to the top in her chosen military career, Mrs Ibe particularly praised her courage and determination, enjoining other Nigerian female professionals to emulate her worthy example.

Recall that Gen Azubuike, who was born by a Nigerian father of Imo State origin, was recently promoted to the rank of a Brigadier General in the US Army.
