Buhari made the promise  Friday, when a top Igbo delegation led by First Republican Parliamentarian and ex-Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazuluike Amaechi visited him at the Aso Rock, Abuja.

Ohanaeze in a statement Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Chief Alex Ogbonnia, said the apex Igbo body was particularly delighted that the President has shown empathy in the current Igbo travails by mulling a political option for the release of Kanu.
