EGSOSA sets for Annual General Meeting
The ancient EKAKPAMRE Community in Ughelli – South Local Government of Delta state is to host the epochal and historic annual general meeting of the old students of EKAKPAMRE Grammar school , Ekakpamre.
According to a statement signed by the Head, publicity and Media sub – committee, Augustine Oribioye , the AGM is a culmination of several deliberations and meetings that were chaired by the pioneer chairman of the association, Mr Jacob OGBODU.
He said the event will run for three days.
He disclosed that day one, April 9th ,being the opening ceremony will take place at the present EKAKPAMRE Grammar School , field and it will attract some distinguished personalities such as the Executive Chairman of Ughelli – South Local Government Area, Hon Dr Richard Kofi,the Chief Inspector of Education, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Mrs Juliet Ofuyovwi.Other guests of Honour shall include, Chief Patrick Ukah, Hon commissioner of Basic and secondary education, chief Christian Etaluku, Chairperson , Post primary Education Board,Comrade Samuel Dietake,Permanent Secretary,Education Board,Mrs Doris Ughegbe , principal Ekakpamre Grammar School and the Chairman Elders Council ,Ekakpamre Community.To spice up the event,there will be march – past by students of the school, Cultural displays and lecture on Career choice to be delivered at the occasion.
The day two , April 10th will feature presentation of stewardship by the Executive that have being working assiduously since the birth of the association and consequently an election of a new Executive to mantle the leadership for the next four years.
While day three,April 11th which is the grand finale, according to Oribioye promises to be scintillating and supersonic as the icing of the cake will conclude the crowded three day celebration and get – together and re- union of great EGSOSA,s will be concluded with a Thanks giving church service .
The statement implored all members of the association to not only show commitment financially, but morally and physically present to make the occasion a successful one among its contemporaries.
