Day Anambra PDP guber hopeful, Maduka hosted party delegates

A frontline Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governoship hopeful in Anambra State, Dr. Godwin Maduka has hosted PDP delegates across the 21 Local Government Areas in the state at his Umuchukwu country home, in Orumba South LGA.

Besides  PDP delegates, also at the Umuchukwu carnival , were a large number of fans of the renowned medical practitioner, philanthropist and Social crusader.

Men and women of diverse interests including children, were cartered for during the  carnival.

The magnificent Lamborghini estate country home of Dr Maduka was so intimidating that visitors to this wonder land had wondered why such an individual who had single handedly transformed the economic fortunes of an otherwise rural enclave Umuchukwu his native home town to a mega city of sort, could be left out of schemes regarding the political and leadership administration of both his home State Anambra and his country Nigeria.

Dr Maduka a triple Proffessor of medical sciences is founder of Las Vegas Pain Institute and Centre, one of the largest private medical care group in Nevada God’s own country, the United States of America. The Okosisi Orumba as fondly called by his admirers no doubt has acknowledged the long suffering of the people, hence his resolve to have a shot at the Agu Awka governorship contest, to enable him provide quality leadership to ndi Anambra.

At a distance, this great philanthropist Dr Maduka has a mien of innocence. But on getting close to him, one sees a man filled with humour, energy and doses of native intelligence. A classic example of a rise from grass to grace, Dr Maduka chronicled his early life, which he said was turbulent. Coming from a family not known with wealth, this renowned man of means had not only risen to stardom, but equally, has eradicated whatever the word called poverty means, in his generation, and those yet to come.

The Lion of Africa another name Dr Maduka is known for by his admirers, is gifted with an intimidating aura as well as academic credentials. He holds an academic degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine, Anesthesiology, pain management and Surgery, while attending the Harvard Medical School. He built and furnished the followings in his Umuchukwu Community, a 17 storey building for medical research and hospital, Judges quarters Umuchukwu which he handed over to the Anambra State Judiciary free, Divisional Police Headquarters Umuchukwu handed over to the federal government, a magnificient Magistrate Court he handed over to the federal government, Trinitas International hospital Umuchukwu handed over to Catholic Mission, Umuchukwu Civic Centre donated to the Town Union, a modern High Court built and handed over to Anambra State Judiciary, Civil Defence building Umuchukwu handed over to government free.

Speaking to journalists during the event, the diaspora coordinator for Godwin Maduka campaign organization, Mrs Chioma Nwafor called on Ndi Anambra to support Dr Maduka during the forth coming governorship contest in the State. According to her, She and other volunteers, had embarked on a sensitization tour in the diaspora, for support of the candidature of Dr Maduka, whom she described as highly qualified for the task ahead.

The PDP governorship hopeful was conferred with the ‘Hero’s’ award excellence, by the worldwide leadership Youth wing of the Ohaneze Ndigbo.
