Death, not final destination for believers in Christ, says Senator Ohuabunwa

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has said that death is not the final destination for believers in Christ.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament made the submission Saturday while commiserating with the member representing Umuahia East state constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chukwudi Apugo during the burial of his late mother, Mrs Dorothy Apugo.
Ohuabunwa who noted that death is only a means through which Christians transit to their eternal home in heaven, said there is better life after death for true believers.
He condoled with the lawmaker, his siblings and the entire Apugo dynasty over the demise of their late matriarch, Dorothy, whom he said was a devout Christian and exceptional mother.
The former Leader, House of Representatives urged the bereaved family not to sorrow like those without hope, saying he had no doubt that the late Dorothy made heaven.
He prayed God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss as well as the irreplaceable vacuum that the exit of their mother had created in their hearts.
Responding, Hon Apugo thanked the Senator as well as other sympathizers for finding time to identify with the family in their bereavement.
He prayed God to bless them for their support and encouragements.
Ohuabunwa who attended the burial in the company of some of his former colleagues at the red chamber including Senator Philip Gumka, Nassarawa ; Senator Lar Danjuma, Kaduna; Sam Anyanwu, Owerri Zone; and Senator Obinna Ogba from Ebonyi.
The burial was also attended by a host of other dignitaries from all walks of life including Gov Okezie Ikpeazu.
