By Steve Oko
Amidst mounting anxiety by curious party members and sympathisers to parties in the case, the three – man  tribunal members arrived the Umuahia magistrate court venue of the sitting by 12:40 pm dot.
At exactly 12:45 the panelists emerged from their chambers after the usual bang heralding their arrival.
The Chairman, Justice Cornelius Akintayo, apologised to the curious crowd in the court room for their late arrival.
He gave work overload as reason for the development, saying they were “almost boxed at a corner “.
Justice Akintayo explained that the tribunal had delivered one judgment on Sunday in another petition, and was expected to deliver two judgments today (Monday)  in different petitions, hence they were battling with time to get the judgements ready.
He further noted that the tribunal was struggling to beat the deadline as its life span could expire tomorrow (the next day).
After the explanations he went on to read judgement on the petition filed by Mr. Martins Apugo (APC), against Hon. Sam Onuigbo (PDP), Ikwuano /Umuahia federal constituency.
He said the judgment was a unanimous judgement and went ahead to read it while other two judges on the panel sat by him.
Meanwhile judgment on the petition by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa (PDP) against Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC) , is expected to be delivered after the ongoing ruling.
