Popular Nigerian entertainer and the founder of ‘Our mumu don do’ movement, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has described Nigeria as “a prison yard”.

Charly Boy declared himself ” a prisoner”, saying he has been in prison from birth because Nigeria, his country of birth, is a prison yard.
The son of a late Supreme Court Judge, made the declaration when he visited Ikoyi prisons to mark his 69th birthday.
“It’s been quite a long time that we were born into this prison called Nigeria”, he agonised.
Charly Boy, also known as Area Fada, stormed Ikoyi prisons with a retinue of his friends and fans to celebrate his 69th birthday.
He was born on 19 June, 1951.
Charley Boy expressed seriously worry over the state of affairs in Nigeria, particularly the worsening insecurity and docility of Government.
