High hopes as Nnamdi Kanu steps up diplomatic efforts towards Biafra restoration

Hope has been rekindled about Biafra restoration as the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has stepped up diplomatic efforts towards actualising the project.
Kanu who recently relocated to United Kingdom from Israel where he was taking refuge after the September 14, 2017 invasion of his Afaraukwu Umuahia country home, has in the recent times been touring the United States of America and Canada to mobilise support for Biafra.
The IPOB leader, according to a press release by Emma Powerful was treated to a resounding reception by Biafrans during a town hall meeting in California on June 15.
Kanu, according to the release, is expected in Huston, Texas on June 21, from where he would also visit Chicago and wrap up the US diplomatic tour in New York.
The release said that Biafrans and their sympathisers had trooped out in their thousands to listen to the IPOB leader where ever he visited.
Meanwhile, Kanu has mocked the Nigerian government over the worsening insecurity , saying that wile kidnapping, terrorism and general insecurity are escalating in the country, he is busy shoring up diplomatic and international support for Biafra restoration.
He said Nigeria would soon wake up to hear of a date for Biafra referendum.
Kanu posted on his facebook page : ” As…, cabal, herdsmen, terrorists and jihadists ramp up on their end-stage jihadist subjugation of Nigeria, I’m traversing the civilised world, ramping up the diplomatic outreach that will compel a #Biafran referendum. I urge ALL Biafrans to keep faith”.

“As our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his team continue the tour of USA and Canada with emphasis on diplomatic overtures and rallying the Biafran base to restore Biafra within the shortest possible time, we the worldwide family of the Indigenous People of Biafra commend the family California for the rousing welcome and support given to our indomitable leader during the town-hall meeting held on the 15th of June in Los Angeles.
“Biafrans across the USA and Canada have been reenergised with the message of hope and restoration which has not only captivated Biafran audiences who are fortunate enough to attend these events, but has permeated the subconscious of every black African who has come into contact with this message of redemption as evidenced by the high number of goodwill messages received by our leader from non Biafrans.
“Biafrans across the west coast of the USA have publicly pledged their moral and material support for Biafra restoration as piloted by IPOB and we promise to do all we can to restore Biafra at the earliest possible opportunity by the grace of Almighty God.
“Many more IPOB family meetings, influential individuals and diaspora organisations are queuing up to host our leader in various cities across the United States. The next stop for our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be the city of Houston Texas on the 21st of June 2019, where we expect Biafrans and non-Biafrans alike to gather to welcome and listen to him preach the gospel of the restoeation of Biafra at a town-hall meeting.
