Abia acquires 20 patrol vans for security agencies

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has disclosed that his administration had acquired 20 patrol vans to improve security in the state.
The Governor who made the disclosure while speaking at the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Ogbor Hill Parish Aba at a service to mark this year’s Fathers’ Day, said the vehicles would be handed over the the security agencies in the state by “next week”.
The vehicles, according to him, “are complete with state of the art communication gadgets” to enhance the intelligence gathering and combat readiness of the security agencies.
He said that development could only come “when there is peace and security”, and thanked the people of the state for their steadfastness.
Ikpeazu also commended especially the church for their constant intercessions for the state.
He assured that he would always be guided by the fear of God in all of his actions as Governor and congratulated all Christian men on their day.
“As a man, husband and father, Ikpeazu continued, today’s celebration means a lot to me as I have resolved to be a better man and improve on those areas that need improvement, challenging all Christian men to renew their faith in God.
Prayers were said for the Governor and the state while songs of praises rent the air. The Church also presented a gift to the Governor.
Minister in Charge of the Parish, the Rt. Rev. Akim Erim Mbeh presided over the service while a sermon entitled MEN, BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS was delivered by The Rev. Uguru Madukwe.
