Ikpeazu’s CPS solicits support of Abia journalists

The newly appointed Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, has solicited the full support and cooperation of journalists in the state to enable him succeed in his office.
Ememanka who made the appeal when he met with journalists Thursday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre, Aba Road Umuahia, noted with delight the crucial roles of journalists for the development of society.
The legal practitioner who was appointed a week ago , promised to work in harmony with journalists who he described as critical stakeholders in the information sector.
Ememanka, a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Communication replaced Mr. Enyinnaya Apolos who is now a Media Adviser to the Governor.
He said “My job is to manage the the image of my principal, and I am going to give the job every attention.”
Ememanka promised to work harmoniously with journalists in the state and to also accord them their respect.
The Governor’s Spokesman stressed that Gov. Ikpeazu “is determined to move Abia to the next level “, and solicited the cooperation of journalists to enable him succeed.
Responding, NUJ Chairman, Comrade John Emejor, thanked the new CPS for finding time to visit the secretariat within seven days of his appointment, and assured him of full cooperation of journalists.
He said that journalists would always be professional in the discharge of their duties, assuring him of support as partners in progress.
