Eid-el-Fitr : Sen Ohuabunwa tasks Muslims on love, peace
By Steve Oko
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa representing Abia North district, has urged Muslim faithful to show true love and live in peace with their neighbours in line with the core values of Islam.
Ohuabunwa challenged Muslims in the state to live in peace with their host communities and abstain from acts capable of breaching the peace.
The Senator in a press release called on Muslims to propagate messages that would help engender peace and unity in the country.
He expressed concern over the rising spate of insecurity in the country, and called on Islamic adherents to use the period of Eid-el-Fitr to pray for divine security of Nigerians.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament, advised Muslims against utterances that could generate unnecessary tension in the country.
He wished them well as they celebrate this year's Sallah while urging them to also use the period to show love to their neighbours.
