Abia ‘ll witness rapid dev in my 2nd tenure – Ikpeazu
* Extends olive branch to losers

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State assured Abians that the state would witness rapid development in all fronts during his second tenure.
This is as he has extended olive branch to his opponents, urging them to support him in the interest of the state.
Ikpeazu stated this Sunday while reacting to his victory at the poll.
He thanked Abians for the renewed confidence and mandate given him to serve for another term.
Ikpeazu who spoke to newsmen shortly after he was declared winner, said women and youths would be of top priority in his second term.
According to him,the various developmental projects lined up by his administration including the Enyimba economic city that will create about 700,000 jobs, the Osisioma flyover among others will be fast -tracked.
Ikpeazu called on his opponents to place the interest of the state above their personal interests ,and support him to develop the state.
“To them I say it is not a loss in absolute sense of the word but it is a call for duty on a higher pedestal for those who indeed love Abia beyond their personal ambition to rise to the occasion and join hands with this government to deliver the best in terms of democracy dividends”
Ikpeazu also congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC “for a job well done”.
He also thanked Abia youths for maintaining peace and eensuring that the election was done in an atmosphere devoid of rancor and blood- letting.
