The All Progressive Congress, APC , has alleged that there was vote buying in some parts of Abia State.
Hon. Nduoma Okorafo, the state coordinator of Team Ogah, a major political structure of the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, told our correspondent that vote buying was rampant at Umudike and Isingwu Umuahia.
He alleged that one Koki, an alleged agent of the ruling party was “busy sharing money to voters “.
The incident he said , occurred at the polling centre at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike.
He said the centre had three polling units with seven voting points each.
According to him, the said Koki was distributing between N2000 and N4000 per voter.
He said he was buying vote while security men on duty looked away, adding that the same man came in with many Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.
