Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
APC NWC had suspended Okorocha and his Ogun State counterpart, Gov. Ibukunle Amosun over alleged anti-party activities.
But PSC felt embarrassed by the action of the affected South East officials for “insulting” the national leadership of the party, hence its decision to wield the big stick.
The Suspension letter signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters, Mr. G N Samani and sighted by The AUTHORITY in Umuahia said it would not tolerate any for of disloyalty from any of its members.
According to the letter, the suspended members include : Robert Ngwu, Bar Ejikeme Ugwu and Comrade Maxwell Okoye.
The affected members were the Director Inter Party South East; National Director Legal Matters; and Director Political Matters, South East respectively.
They were accused of “breach of directives and regulations guiding the PSC.”
The letter read in part : noted that this is despite directives that the committed officials should adhere to the constitution, rules and regulations of the PSC in terms of programmes of activities including granting press interviews.
The letter read in part : “Despite the foregoing, the National Executive Committee of PSC has been inundated with complaints from various sources including members of South East Zonal Exco regarding unauthorized activities of very few individuals including yourself from South -East zone particularly the publication of Tuesday 5th of March title Presidential Committee gives Oshimole 48 hours ultimatum to lift Okorocha’s suspension.
“This is totally unacceptable and disrespectful to organs of our party which is against the laid down rules and regulations guiding the affairs of PSC and constitution of our party.
“In conclusion of the foregoing, you are hereby suspended as Director Political Matters,South -East with immediate effect.
“This was informed after due consultation with stakeholders and presidential Aides who are also facilitators of the committee.”

“You are by this communication advised to retract this unauthorized publication within 72 hours failure to which will lead to expulsion”.
“While thanking you for your service, you are advised to handover all relevant documents and materials in your possession relating to PSC to the office with immediate effect”.
Their suspension is coming less than 24 hours the Zonal Coordinator and Chairman of the PSC Chermberline Adiaso dissociated the South East zone of the committee from the said ultimatum.
Adiaso had maintained that the position of the APC NWC on Okorocha and Amosun remained unchanged.
Adiaso who spoke with newsmen in Umuahia, dismissed the press briefing held in Owerri by the suspended officials as ” a nullity”, saying that any meeting of the group without his knowledge as the zonal Chairman “holds no water “.
The PSC Zonal Coordinator maintained the APC was a disciplined party and has the NWC as the highest decision-making body of the party.
Adiaso said that questioning the authority of the NWC amounted to questioning the powers of President Muhammadu Buhari as the leader of the APC.
He said that PSC would not tolerate any form of insubordination.
