Breaking!!! ‘Atiku is Nigeria’s next President’ – APC chair
Those doubting the possibility of the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar unseating the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, in tomorrow’s (February 23) poll may need to have a re-think.
This is because the National Chairman of a faction of the All Progressive Congress known as the Reformed APC, Alhaji Buba Galadima, has declared that “Atiku is Nigeria’s next President.”
“Atiku Abubakar is the next President of Nigeria, Insha Allah”, Galadima declared on a live programme on Channels Television .
Galadima, a former ally of President Buhari, said Buhari had disappointed Nigerians and should be ready to hand over power to a man better than he.
He said Buhari would be formally retired back to Daura his home town in tomorrow’s election.
Galadima who is Atiku’s Presidential Spokesman boasted that Atiku would sweep the polls because Nigerians of all divides are united behind his candidature.
Galadima insisted that himself is still in APC but is only working for Atiku because of the agreement they sealed as well as his capacity to lead the country.
He said Nigerians of different ethnic and religious backgrounds would be voting for Atiku due to his religious tolerance unlike Buhari who has left the country more divided than he met it.
“Nigerians are for us, irrespective of religion and tribe.
“If the elections are fair, Atiku will emerge the winner on February 23,” he said.
Galadima insisted that Buhari’s popularity has irretrievably diminished even in his hithertho strongholds unlike in 2015 when he was erroneously seen as a man of integrity.
He alleged that the last time Buhari was in Kano for a presidential rally, his supporters “hired crowd” from the neighbouring Niger Republic to create a false impression that the President still has large followership.
Galadima was emphatic that Atiku would floor Buhari in Kano in tomorrow’s election, insisting that Buhari’s popularity in the ancient city has diminished due to his incompetence and poor leadership style.
