Abia 2019: Our only challenger is APC, if APGA is contesting we don’t know – PDP confesses

Ahead of the forthcoming elections, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abia State, has confessed that its only challenger in the race is the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Chairman of Abia PDP, Chief Johnson Onuigbo who made the remarks while responding to a question at a press conference today (Monday) in his office, said APC was the only party challenging PDP in the polls.
Onuigbo was responding to a question regarding an allegation by the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA that PDP had allegedly compromised the Electoral and Returning Officers recruited from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike.
He said he would not like to join issue with non-existent party in the state.
His words : ” As far as I am concerned, we are contesting with only APC .If APGA is in the race, I am yet to know.
” All the time we are campaigning we have never seen them. We don’t see them in the field “.
Onuigbo however, said PDP would never engage in any form of electoral malpractice including compromising INEC officials or their ad-hoc staff.
“We are working to win. We are not working to rig, and the people’s vote must count “, Onuigbo said.
