*Solicits prayers
By Steve Oko
The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Abia State for the March 9 elections, Dr. Uche Ogah, has said that “Abia is sick “.
Ogah who made the remarks Sunday when he visited the Assemblies of God Church, 5/7 Item Street Umuahia, solicited the prayers of the church for urgent divine healing.
He said Abia had a fautly foundation but promised to correct it on the day of his inauguration if voted into power.
The oil magnet who blamed the problems of the state on poor governance, called on Abians to be united in the move to evolve a new administration in the state.
He said he joined the governorship race basically to end the woes of Abias which have persisted as a result of bad leadership.
Ogah urged Christians in the state to be steadfast in their prayers for the desired change, saying it is only God who can heal the state.
” Abia is sick and there is only one person who can heal Abia. He is God !”
Ogah who stormed the church service with top members of his campaign team and a retinue of supporters followed every segment of the service with keen interest.
The excited governorship hopeful whose campaign headquarters shares borders with the church, thrilled the congregation when he personally led in chains of songs during the offering time.
He was later prayed for before departing for other engagements.
