We are ready for polls – Abia police
* Warn trouble makers to steer clear

The Police have said they are ready for tomorrow’s presidential and national assembly elections in Abia.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in charge of Intelligence, Force Headquarters, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, who stated this Friday while addressing journalists and other stakeholders in Umuahia said officers and men of the force had been deployed to police the state.
He said a Commissioner of Police had been put in charge of each of the three senatorial zones in the state for easy supervision.
The DIG, therefore, warned troubles makers to steer clear from the polling units as police and other law enforcement agents would not hesitate to deal with anyone caught fomenting trouble.
Ogbizi urged eligible voters in the state to troop out enmass to cast their votes tomorrow, assuring them of their adequate security.
He expressed optimisim that given the security arrangement put in place, the polls will be peaceful in Abia.
He also enjoined people to contact the police in the event of any emergency.
Present at the meeting were, Heads of other security agencies, the leadership of the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, media practitioners and other critical stakeholders.
