Again, herdsmen invade Enugu community 
* Kill house wife, abduct catechist, demand N5 m ransom

The slepy town of Amaofia in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State has been thrown into mourning as herdsmen invaded the community. 
 
The rampaging herdsmen who swooped on the unsuspecting locals February 13, killed one woman identified as Mrs. Paulina Agadife. 
 
They also reportedly abducted one Catechist in the community ,Mr Patrick Okeh before fleeing. 
The whereabouts of the abducted Catechist is still unknown. 
Confirming the report, the  President General of Amofia Affa, Mr Johnson Okolo, said herdsmen attack on the community was becoming a  routine. 
He noted that the incident was about the fifth time herdsmen would be raiding them without provocation. 
 
The President General said the herdsmen had already contacted the family of the abducted Catechist and demanded N5 million ransom. 
 
 “On February 13, 2019, some herdsmen attacked our people at the Technical Secondary School, Amofia Affa. Mrs Paulina Agadife died instantly. 
“The names of the those injured included Mrs Juliana Oko and and Mrs Eneko Amadi. This is the fifth time the herdsmen are attacking us at the same spot. Already, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the 9th Mile Corner has visited the scene of the incident .
“The herdsmen are demanding N5 million ransom for the release of Mr Okeh,” Okolo said.

Wawa News Global reports that some communities in Enugu State have occasionally come under attack by herdsmen.
