According to the elder  brother to the deceased , Mr. Iche Otenkwa, the entire family has been thrown into confusion since the incident occurred.

He said the late  Rose enrolled for nursing  in a  popular private hospitals at Asaga Ebem Ohafia few months ago and rented an accommodation where she lived.

He said that sometime she was expelled from the hospital when the management noticed she was pregnant.

But without the knowledge of the family, the deceased moved to the boyfriend’s house to stay with him having found that she was pregnant for him.

He said the family was in a rude  shock when they learned of her sudden death.

Iche Otenkwa said that upon   investigation ,it was  revealed that the deceased died of sever wounds as a result of  beatings by her boyfriend who took her  to an unknown hospital in  the area.

He alleged that the boyfriend and a nurse on-duty were responsible for  the sudden death of his sister.

Both suspects, according to him are already in  the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Area Command Umuahia.

Corroborating this account ,  father of the deceased , Mr. Otenkwa Uduma Agwu (a peasant farmer) urged the police not to deny them access to justice.

He alleged that the boyfriend after impregnatimh his daughter went ahead and conspired with a nurse to kill her.

Arguing that “justice delayed is justice denied ” the father of the deceased  pleaded with the police to charge the matter to court without further delays.

Meanwhile , Abia State chapter of the Legal Aid Council ,has already stepped into the matter to ensure the victim gets justice.

She strongly condemned the act and promised to readiness of the council to render all necessary legal aids to the family without charges.

According to her, Legal Aid Council which stands to giving voice to the voiceless was set up by government to represent people who can not afford the services of private legal practitioners, render access to justice and assist indigent/poor citizen of Nigerians particularly in Abia.

She  urged the CID department of the Nigerian Police to expedite action on the matter and charge the case to court in-order to allow justice take its final course.
