AGPU specifically accused Kalu of threatening the life of the state Deputy Governor, Hon. Ude Okochukwu.
According to the ground, Kalu had variously said :” Deputy Governor, If you try to take our mandadate by force, you will go by force “, and ” Deputy Governor if you try that nonsense we will bundle you out of Nkporo “.
The group in a statement it issued in Umuahia appealed to Buhari to rein in Kalu before he disrupts the prevailing peace in the state.
The statement dated February 1st was made available to Wawa News Global.
According to the statement jointly signed by the convener, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue , Comrade Bonnie Iwuoha, and Mr. Agbai Ogbuabia, Kalu should be held responsible for any breach of public peace during the forthcoming elections.

The group advised Kanu to first acquit himself of the N7 billion corruption charge hanging over him before setting Abia on fire through his utterances and actions.
