APC’s promise that Buhari ‘ll hand over power to Igbo in 2023, moon tale – IYM
* Mobilises Ndigbo for Atiku

By Steve Oko

 The Igbo Youth Movement, IYM, has said that the promise by the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, that President Muhammadu Buhari would hand over power to Ndigbo in 2023 is deceptive, illusionary and should be disregard.

According to IYM, it is laughable for Buhari who cannot trust any Igbo man or woman for sensitive appointment in his government to hand over presidency with enormous power in 2023.
 it was unimaginable for President Muhammadu Buhari to handover the presidency to an Igbo person in 2023 if he cannot trust an Igbo person with sensitive security position in his government.
 IYM in a statement by its Founder , Evangelist Ugochukwu Uko, urged Ndigbo not to be deceived by such “empty promise” but to use their vote to ensure Buhari does not stay in power beyond May 29, 2019.
In the  statement obtained by Wawa News Global, IYM said any Igbo who propagates or buys the APC promise ” is a traitor and the real hater of Igbo “.
The youth group urged Ndigbo to rather throw their support behind the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Atiku Abubakar who is favourably disposed towards restructuring Nigeria.
IYM applauded Ohanaeze Ndigbo for endorsing Atiku as Igbo consensus candidate, saying he has the capacity to restore Nigeria on the path of greatness.
The statement  warned that a vote against Atiku would only assist the APC to return to power in 2023.
IYM urged Ndigbo everywhere to vote for Atiku to end discrimination against the race.
 “We will all permanently put away the hatred and mindless division established in the land almost four years ago through the infamous 97%/5% official policy, that is threatening to destroy our country.
The statement further said “there are a legion reasons  no reasonable voter should vote for Buhari whose  sectionalism in appointments is unprecedented “.
“How can a man who does not consider you for appointments into key positions trust you for the presidency?
 “People who have no scruples, trumpeting such blatant falsehood, are actually only confirming their hatred for Ndigbo. Our sons and daughters who join in repeating such lies because of filthy lucre, are nothing other than traitors.
“Any voter, who votes for any other candidate aside Atiku Abubakar on  February 16, is only assisting General Buhari, to cling onto power. I repeat that any vote not cast for Atiku, only benefits Buhari and that will be calamitous.
“Ndigbo resident in all the 36 states and Abuja are hereby reminded of the historic duty to return Nigeria to the path of justice, equality, equity, fair play and level-playing field for all, in the hope that the search for true nationhood begins in earnest, by explaining to your kinsmen, the great need to vote Atiku Abubakar on February 16,2019.”
