APC plotting to import voters from Chad, Niger, PDP alleges
*As Atiku in Abia vows to retire Buhari

The main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  has alleged that the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC,  is plotting to import voters from neighbouring Chad and Niger Republics respectively to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming February 16 presidential poll.
PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus who made the allegation Saturday in Umuahia while speaking at the party’s presidential rally called on Nigerians to be vigilant against the plot.
This is coming in less than one week two Governors from Niger Republic attended APC presidential rally in Kano.
Secondus said PDP had uncovered plot by APC to manipulate the outcome of the presidential poll in favour of Buhari by importing foreigners to vote for him in Kano and other border states.
He however warned that such plot would be stoutly resisted ,adding that APC should be held responsible for anything that happens to Nigerian democracy.
Speaking at the rally which held at Umuahia Township Stadium, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar urged Nigerians to rise as a united force against “APC rigging machine”.
The former Vice President warned that any attempt by the ruling party to rig the forthcoming elections would not only be vehemently resisted but would have serious consequences.
He said that the people’s vote must count, vowing to deploy every arsenal at his disposal to stop any attempt to steal his mandate.
The PDP presidential hopeful vowed to retire Buhari to his Daura town after May 29 as he boasted of victory at the poll.
“Buhari must go “, he said, while urging party members to be resolute in their support for PDP.
Atiku lashed at the APC for failling to give economic direction to the country, a development he said was responsible for the loss of millions of job since it came to power.
He  regretted that 21 million Nigerians are currently unemployed due to APC’s poor management of the economy.
Atiku accused  the APC of destroying  the Nigerian economy but promised to rebuild it if voted into power.
Similarly, the Vice Presidential candidate of PDP, Mr Peter Obi and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu respectively, tasked Abians on the need to elect the candidates of the PDP at all levels, as Aba economic city and other noble initiatives of the PDP would be realised when PDP takes over.
Present at the rally were who is who in PDP and Abia politics including former Governor and Senator representing Abia Central, Senator Theodore Orji; his Abia North, and South counterparts :Senators Mao Ohuabunwa, and Enyinnaya Abaribe.
Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi State was among the dignitaries at the event.
