Kanu has been in Israel since after he narrowly escaped death after his house was raided by security operatives during the Operation Python Dance ll in 2017.
A source said the British authorities had, last year briefed the Nigerian government about the temporary travel documents they were about to issue to Namdi Kanu, who holds a Nigeria-U.K dual citizenship.
Kanu has consistently called for the boycott of the forthcoming elections in Biafra soil, saying the results of the polls would not reflect the will of the people.
