‘Nigeria in distress ‘ – Uche Secondus
. Says APC ‘dancing on the graves of farmers’
By Steve Oko
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, has said that “Nigeria is in great distress “.
This is even as he accused the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC of ” dancing on the graves of Nigerian farmers” slaughtered by the murderous herdsmen.
Secondus who stated this Tuesday in Aba while speaking during a meeting with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Aba business community noted with regret that the Nigerian economy had virtually collapsed under the watch of APC .
His words :” Nigeria is now in great distress. The economy has collapsed, security has collapsed even government has collapsed .
” Just yesterday ( Monday) the former number one security man in the Army, the Chief of Defense Staff was murdered in Abuja.
” You can see where we are today. In 2015 Nigeria was recorded as the fastest growing economy in Africa but today we have become the poverty capital of the world.
” But the pain is that we have a President who is not even aware of our problems. He can’t take responsibilities because he is not aware.
” He is not aware that people are hungry. He is not aware that herdsmen are killing us. He is not aware that even the members of his kitchen cabinet are corrupt.
” The president is only busy passing bucks. He does not want to take responsibility. But the PDP has a President in the waiting who will take responsibilies.
“Atiku is a President who will take full responsibility for Nigeria security and economy. “
He urged Nigerians to unite and chase APC out of power in 2019 so that PDP could restore the fortunes of the country.
” On the day Atiku is sworn in he will decongest Lagos port and revatilise Onne and Calabar ports “, he declared.
