Abia 2019: ‘Rig and die’, Otti warns politicians
*Vows to recover looted funds

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance , APGA in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has warned politicians plotting to rig the 2019 poll to better perish the idea or ” get prepared to die”.
Otti who made the outburst Wednesday in Umuahia while flagging off his campaign for 2019 said any attempt to rig the 2019 elections would be vehemently resisted.
” 2019 is not 2015. They are already panicking because they know that in 2015 they did not win, and they are going to fail again.
” Anybody plotting to rig the election in 2019 may not be alive to see the result”, he thundered.
Otti lamented that Abia State had been “left behind” by other states in the country due to inept leadership.
Otti regretted that while other states had since moved on in virtually all fronts, Abia has remained backward due to incompetence of those running the state .
He said that “Abia is the least developed state in South East geopolitical zone”, and promised to change the narrative if voted into power.
Otti who said he was poised to liberate the state from economic stagnation vowed to probe past and present administrations if elected as Governor.
” Enough is enough! I have come to liberate Abia from bondage. We are saying enough is enough for wicked leadership and incompetence .
” We will end godfatherism and occultism. No more mamacracy and bad leadership.
” Abia’s problem is not because we are poor but those in charge of our affairs have stolen us dry.
” We will retire them in 2019 and recover every kobo they have stollen. This is no political talk. I will recover the stolen funds.”
Otti said he was in the governorship race to serve the people and not for self aggrandizement.
” I have come to serve. It is now Abia money for Abia people. “
Otti took a clean sweep of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-led administration in the state, saying it ” has failed woefully “.
He said that “night clubbing is the only economic activity in Abia Government House “, adding that other achievements of the government are ” propaganda and billboards “.
“Does Umuahia look like a state capital? Look at roads and hospitals , you will weep for Abia.
He said “there is a total collapse of infrastructure” in the state but promised to revive the state if voted into power.
Otti said his entrance into the race marked the beginning of Abia’s journey to “the promised land “.
Earlier in his remarks, Abia’s Presidential running mate, Chief Jerry Chukwueke , said APGA had a clear agenda for transforming Nigeria, and that contrary to the misconception in some quarters, the party is in the race to “occupy Aso Rock ” come 2019.
He said that the two major political parties ” PDP and APC” had failed, and urged Nigerians to give APGA a chance in 2019 to take the country out of the woods.
Chukwueke said that under the watch of APGA, Nigeria would restructure both geopolitically and economically.
” Some parties said they are fighting corruption but we have seen no results. APGA will fight poverty, restructure Nigeria and reduce the cost of governance “.
Speaking also, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State urged Abians to vote for APGA candidates so as to witness the transformation currently going on in Anambra.
He said only APGA candidate would replicate the Anambra feat in Abia, while urging Abians to support the party candidates.
Obiano represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke, said he had no doubt Otti would provide purposeful leadership considering his antecedents in the private sector.
The Anambra Governor predicted that about three states in the South East would be claimed by APGA in 2019 in addition to Nassarawa and Sokoto States.
