Universities in the Southern part of Nigerian have outshined their Northern counterparts in the recently released Nigerian Law School results .
University of Nigeria Nsuka (UNN), and University of Lagos ( UNILAG) – both federal universities were on top of the table with 20 First Class graduates each.
Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) which has dominated the honour roll in the Law School for years now came second with 12 First Class graduates.
Two federal universities – University of Uyo, and University of Benin (UNIBEN), plus Delta State University came a distant third with five First Class respectively.
Rivers State University, Ebony State University, Osun State University and BABCOK the only private university in that category all made away with four First Class each.
Meanwhile, a critical analysis of the result showed that Northern universities did not put up a superlative performance as the University of Abuja only made three First Class, while the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) had only two First Class.
The analysis further showed that the honour roll was dominated by female having recorded 113 First Class while male only managed to get away with 48 First Class.
