Breaking : Obasanjo forgives, endorses Atiku for president in 2019

The presidential ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar Thursday, received a major boost following his endorsement for the number one office in the country by his former boss and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Obasanjo endorsed Atiku after the latter visited him at his home in Abeokuta.

Obasanjo said he had forgiven Atiku for whatever offenses he committed against him adding that he has nothing personal against Atiku.

The endorsement came as a surprise to many political watchers as Obasanjo had some time said God would not forgive him if he “puts Atiku forward for the office of the President “.

Obasanjo who hailed the transparent process that produced Atiku said the former Vice President had the capacity and experience to win the presidential poll in 2019.

He said of all the PDP presidential aspirants that participated at the primaries, Atiku possessed the highest qualification and capacity to be President.

Obasanjo promised to support Atiku in the pursuit of his ambition and urged all lovers of Nigeria to queue behind him.

Some personalities at the meeting were PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus ; Sheik Ahmed Gumi; Rev. Matthew Kukah among others.
