Only someone with proven managerial skill can fix Abia – Uche Ogah
From Steve Oko, Umuahia
A leading All Progressive Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah, has said that only someone with proven managerial skill, credibility and business acumen could fix Abia.

Ogah who stated this yesterday while addressing party faithful at Obohia, Ukwa East Local Government Area ahead of the party ‘s primaries slated for Saturday advised APC against fielding a candidate without capacity in 2019.
The oil magnet warned that if APC makes the mistake of fielding an unpopular candidate in 2019, the party ‘s dream of wresting power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP would remain a mirage.

His words : ” I urge you all not to vote for an aspirant without capacity. If APC presents someone without capacity in 2019, PDP will crush the person.
” I have the credibility and capacity to win the 2019 poll in Abia. Therefore as a party we must field our best or else PDP will floor us.
” It takes someone with experience and proven ability to manage resources to develop Abia. I have given good account of myself in the private sector. I have the capacity and the needed experience to fix Abia if given the opportunity “.

Ogah who likened PDP to a tiger said “it takes something stronger than a tiger to rescue a prey from the claws of a tiger “.
“PDP is like a tiger but I am the one to rescue Abia from its claws “, Ogah boasted.
Ogah said he was not in the race because he had money but offered himself to rescue Abia from misrule.
He said that if elected as Governor in 2019, he would within two years of his assumption of office “wipe away the 20 years of locust devastation” in the state.
Ogah blamed the PDP -led administration in the state for not “attracting the right investors that can help transform the state “.
” Azumini Blue River is only about 40 nautical miles away from the Sea. Why has it not been dregged? We can dreg it to attract the right investors “.

Ogah urged the leadership of APC in Abia to abide by its decision not to adopt zoning of political offices, saying that zoning only gives birth to mediocrity.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General of his Campaign Organisation, Chief Uzor Egbo, said “Abians are tired of stories by the government “, hence the coming of Ogah to “change the story “.
” Abians are tired of stories about non payment of salaries, bad roads and collapse of infrastructure. Abians are now yearning for Uche Ogah who will change their stories “.
In his speech, APC Chairman in Ukwa East LGA, Chief Ernest Sunday described Ogah as the hope of Abians.
His Ukwa West counterpart, Chief Alwell Enwereji assured Ogah of the total support of the party faithful in the entire Asa kingdom in Saturday ‘s primaries.
Speaking also, a stakeholder in the area, Hon. Chidi Nwankpa warned APC against imposition at the forthcoming primaries.
He said any attempt to subvert the will of the people would spell doom for the party.
The Ogah team also visited party members at Obehie in Ukwa West as well as Ugwunagbo where enthusiastic party faithful trooped out in their numbers to receive him.
