Abia labour party disowns national publicity secretary, Ifendu

The Abia State chapter of Labour Party has disowned the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Ebere Ifendu.
According to a statement by the Chairman of the party in the state, Ceekay Igara Esq, Ifendu who hails from Abia state “is not even a registered member of the party “.
Igara berated Ifendu for his critical stance against the decision of the National leadership of the party readmit former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko into the party.
Abia Labour party said Ifendu had no justification to comment on any issue affecting the party as he is only a ghost member.
The statement read in part :”Having gone through our records of registered members from the Wards, LGA and State, we categorically state that Ebere Ifendu is not a member and should be ignored.
“On behalf of our Party in Abia, The National Executive Committee, The National Chairman and Secretary should not be distracted by people without electoral value. Ceekay Igara Esq.”
Labour party which said its popularity in the state had been on the increase vowed to sack the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state come 2019.
