Former Umunneochi Council boss, Prince Dan Okoli
The House of Assembly aspirant lamented that the seat of the constituency at the Abia House of Assembly has been dominated only by Isuochi and Nneato clans.
Okoli who made the observation while speaking with newsmen after submitting his nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) office in Umuahia said it was the turn of Umuchieze clan to represent the constituency in 2019.
Okoli further said that the constituency was being under represented by the incumbent lawmaker whom he accused of being entangled in unnecessary opposition and muscle -flexing with the Executive instead of networking to attract projects to his constituency.
” We are not effectively represented. There is no synergy between our representative and the Executive arm of Government even his colleagues.
” It is unfortunate that our representative has resorted to playing unnecessary opposition to the disadvantage of his constituents.  There is also no cohesion among political stakeholders in Umunneochi “.
Okoli promised to attract developments to the constitutuency if elected in 2019.
He also urged other aspirants from the constituency to respect the power sharing arrangement in the council by allowing Umuchieze clan to produce the House of Assembly member for the constituency come 2019.
The former Council boss said his antecedents and tremendous achievements in office were foretates of the unprecedented development to be witnessed under his tenure if elected.
