Oil magnet and House of Representatives aspirant for Bende federal constituency, Mr. Chima Anyaso has vowed to uproot the inccumbent occupant of the seat, Hon. Nnenna Ukeje.
Anyaso, one of the major financiers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area is seeking the PDP ticket for 2019.
Ukeje who has been at the green chamber since 2007 under PDP platform is seeking re-election .
She has dismissed Anyaso as a light weight who lacks the capacity and experience to unseat her.
But determined to retire the two -time legislator, Anyaso who submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms at the PDP office on Thursday said he had the support of the people to bring the needed change.
Accompanied to the PDP office by a retinue of fans especially youths, Anyaso said nothing could stop his ambition.
Meanwhile a cow labelled “New Bende ” was brought to the PDP leadership , and a source told Wawa News Global that the cow was a gift from someone who wants to return Bende to the path of greatness.
The cow which was tied to a stake at the party’s secretariat until early morning Friday attracted the attention of visitors to the place.
Ukeje has also dismissed as empty propaganda, boasts by the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state that it would take over Abia in 2019.
Addressing newsmen when she came to submit her nomination form, Ukeje said she had no fears over the electoral fortunes of PDP in the forthcoming poll.
She said Abia remained one of the strongholds of PDP, expressing confidence that the party will sweep the 2019 poll in the state.
