Happening now : Dare-devil robbers rob Uche Ogah’s aide of ‘Ghana -must -go’ bag of money

An aide of a frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah has been robbed of an undisclosed large sum of money.
The money contained in a big ‘Ghana -must -go ‘ bag was Thursday morning, snatched from the aide at the round-about opposite the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre office located on the ever busy Aba road Umuahia .
The incident occurred around 11:30 am as the aide who was driving in a Premera car towards the Isigate Campaign Office of the oil magnet when his car was suddenly double -crossed by a Toyota corolla car before the roundabout.
According to eye witnesses three heavily armed men in mufti alighted from the corolla car in a commando style and ordered the victim to bring the money as one of them pointed the gun on his head.
As the victim was still in shock two of the robbers quickly opened the door and pulled out the bag of money transferred into their own car before escaping through the direction of Isigate .
An eyewitness said he mistook them to be clearing trafic for someone not knowing they were robbers until they zoomed off.
” It all happened like a film. We were all here when it started and ended “, the eyewitness who preferred anonymity said.
The victim was still around the building of NUJ in utter confusion when Wawa News Global arrived the venue of the incident.
The victim who was still very nervous refused to respond to enquiries by our correspondent on how it all happened .
He also refused to disclose the actual amount of money in the stolen bag.
When our correspondent peeped into the car campaigns posters of Uche Ogah who is to formerly declare for Governorship today at the APC office Umuahia were seen in the car seats.
Shortly afterwards police men arrived the scene with a towing van to tow away the victim’s car which had already caused tragic gam on the very busy dual carriage way.
But after explanations from the victim the police allowed him to drive away his car but compelled him to drive towards the nearby Central Police station.
It was however not clear whether he was arrested as at the time of filing this report.
